Have You Ever Seen A "Smart Window" ?

You might have seen a smart TV, smartphone, smart fridge but have you ever seen a "Smart Window" or "window in a window ?"

Just imagine, this "touch controlled" transparent window installed in your home. It's like having a smart computerized transparent LCD screen with virtual blinds. With its wide range of apps, one can use it for checking flight status, twitter, microsoft office, weather, recipes, watch TV, movies, favorite shows, sports, news, other internet updates and more.

The "Smart Window" can also let you dim the sunlight coming into your home by creating the virtual privacy shades. It is eco-friendly and partially consumes sunlight. At the recent CES conference at Las vegas, one could explore several new gadgets but the above video demonstrates one of the intuitive way of using apps on a touch controlled transparent glass with private browsing enabled. I mean, no one from the outside will be able to see what you are watching or browsing as you can only view the screen from inside.

This 2012 CES innovation award winner is a TFT LCD touchscreen with a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels which can conveniently fit any window upto 46 inches. It makes me think of a big transparent iPad or a touch screen TV. If you have seen, "Minority Report" then you would agree with me for calling it sagaciously a "Smart Technology." Watch the above video for the demonstration of "Smart Window from Samsung."
